Deutsch 1st Alpforum closed in Munich
On Sunday, April 19th 2009, the 1st Alpforum of EYP Germany was officially closed after the General Assembly having taken place in the building of the Bavarian state parliament. Under the patronage of Barbara Stamm, the President of the Bavarian Parliament, almost 80 delegates from 10 different countries dealt with “water”, the session’s topic, during Committee work and a panel discussion.This lively debate took place in the city hall of Prien on April 17th, where the delegates had a controversial discussion with Prof. Dr. Wilderer (winner of the Stockholm Water Prize 2003), Dr. Langer (Veolia Water) and Mr. Henn (attac).
In the evening of April 16th, the participants had the chance to have a closer look at the traditions of their neighbouring countries, as everybody presented their countries to the other delegates by introducing to them traditional songs, dances, food and more.
