Over 60 members took part in discussions about our upcoming sessions and elected the new members of the board of EYP Germany. </strong></p>

We would like to thank Martin Hoffmann, Sonja Pürckhauer, Lorenz Bock, Jorg Körner and Jakob Leonard for their long-time commitment for our organisation. The new Board consists of the following members: Kerstin Mathias (President), Andrea Pürckhauer (Vice-President), Toni Ritz (Treasurer), Monika Seidel, Tim Lock, Riaan Stipp, Max Karpf and Alexandra Posner.</p>

		<description><![CDATA[The European Youth Summit on Education in Passau (15th till 18th September) is now under the patronage of Mrs Androulla Vassiliou, Member of the European Commission. As a member of José Manuel Barroso's Commission from 2010 to 2014 she is responsible for Education, Culture, Multilingualism and Youth. Furthermore Jürgen Dupper, Mayor of Passau, agreed to share the patronage with Mrs Vassiliou.

		<description><![CDATA[Prof. Dr. Walter Schweitzer, president of the Passau University confirmed a cooperation with the European Youth Parliament Germany for the Summit in September 2010. <p>The Summit will take place in Passau from 14th to 18th September under the main topic „Youth and Education in Europe“. 60 young Europeans will come together in order to discuss the differences and problems of the european education systems and to develop their own ideas and visions for a european education system.</p>

<p>With the Closing Ceremony on Sunday, November 22nd, the 2nd German-Franco Forum came to an end. 80 Delegates from more than ten European countries took part in the session in Saarbrücken and Strasbourg. During the cross-border Forum the participants discussed the current state of Human Rights in Europe.</p>
<p>After the Opening Ceremony and panel discussion in Saarbrücken, the participants moved to Strasbourg to continue with committee work and the General Assembly.</p>
<p>Before the session the delegates have worked on the session&#8217;s theme and compiled a <a href="http://en.eyp.de/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/rp_booklet_small.pdf">Research Booklet (pdf)</a> that offers an impressive overview of the Human Rights situation in their countries.</p>

Over 60 members took part in discussions about our upcoming sessions and elected three new members of the Board. <p>In addition we spend the weekend in different workshops, preparing and organising the upcoming sessions of the EYP in Germany: In November we will host the <a href="http://en.eyp.de/sessions/francogermanforum/">2nd German-franco Forum</a> in Saarbrücken and Strasbourg. Our 20th National Selection Conference will take place in Würzburg in June 2010. Finally, we are honoured to host the 64th International Session of the European Youth Parliament in Frankfurt in August.</p>

<p>The Delegation from the John F. Kennedy School Berlin will participate in the 62nd International Session in Helsinki (Finnland) in Autumn. The  Karl-Theodor-von-Dalberg Gymnasium Aschaffenburg will go to Tromsö (Norway) in Spring 2010.</p>
